BIOGRAPHY

Born and bred in Paris, Mademoiselle S started DJing while hanging around at parties: she preferred to hide by the speakers, crouch behind the stereo and fumble for good CDs to get people dancing. She ended up \'looking after\' the music at parties or in bars where she worked occasionally. Friends called her back and she got a kick out of making people dance the night away, playing anything from punk rock to disco or acid techno. Word of mouth and some encounters led to more requests to DJ in a few bars and small clubs, in Paris and London.

Used to everything from garage rock to early rave tunes and world music thanks to her eclectic music-loving father, S has an open-minded and playful approach to mixing. She happily crosses over between electroclash, Detroit techno, twisted house and rock-disco, throwing in the odd leftfield or pop track too.

Although she has a career as a free-lance artist, S remains seriously passionate about spinning records and making people dance; keeping the beats tough, the tunes underground and the mixes edgy.
