| (Berlin, DE) - Kreuzberg's 103 Club recently announced to close at the end of August. The club right next to the famous Watergate delighted clubbers since the mid 90s.
First it was more or less a half-legal underground hot spot in Berlin's Mitte district, but since the millennium and after moving to Kreuzberg the 103 became a regular in Berlin's club scenery. Musically lots of styles found an asylum when minimal mania was burning down all things called progression. It was a home for sophisticated hip hop, electro as well as pop and soul played by international guests like Trentemøller, Justice, Chromeo and Oliver Koletzki.
Beside all things called music the 103 always provided space for art projects. Their way of integrated arts was and is still unique in the local club scene. Despite all fame and progression, the financial part didn't run all too well in the past months. That's why the 103 team decided to put an end to their story...
